Control or chaos ?

As part of Mazars’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Mazars has held an interactive workshop for students to explain the economic reality that confronts them taking the students consumption patterns into consideration.

It is often said that future generations need help to understand and prepare for the challenges they will face regarding finance, so as part of Mazars’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Mazars has held an interactive workshop for students to explain the economic reality that confronts them.

In the 90 minute workshop, Pia Lund Lillebaek, Managing Partner, and one of the Mazars’ young talents, Sebastian Graah, explained the context of personal finance and introduced a selection of tools adapted for students aged 14-16 and 17-20 which aim to encourage them to take responsibility for their own finances.

The first session took place at the Marie Kruses High School, where more than 50 students registered to attend. The workshop covered topics such as:

  • Budgets – an overview of income and expenses; how to set a budget
  • Tax – understanding tax return forms; what do you pay and how do you know if you’re paying the correct amount
  • Loans – what to consider when taking a loan; budgeting for a loan
