Richard is an Audit & assurance Partner specialising in the audit of large private international groups. He heads up our London and South East Privately Owned Business audit team focussed on delivering a quality audit service to those larger private businesses.

Experience 

Richard has a particular specialism in the audit of some of the UK's largest and recognised branded retail and wholesale companies enabling him to be at the forefront of best practices within this industry sector. Richard also spent two years working in Paris which has enabled him to work seamlessly across borders with international organisations, particularly those with interests in France. Richard also has a focus on sustainability having worked in this area for over 10 years and advises global organisations on best practice performance and reporting.

Work Highlights 

Richard was responsible for our award-winning business and human rights reporting line, providing human rights consulting and assurance services to some of the world’s largest companies. Richard was the co-lead of the project team which drafted the authoritative human rights guidance for companies being the UNGP Reporting Framework and UNGP Assurance Guidance (www.UNGPreporting.org). The project was officially supported by the United Nations working group on business and human rights. The UNGP Reporting Framework has been recommended by governments across the globe and is being applied by many of the world’s leading companies. Richard is a regular speaker on panels and a contributor to ethical periodicals and websites.
